WE DID IT!!!!! Thank you everyone!!!
Thanks to you, we were able to provide $15 for sides per turkey/family, to go along with the donation of 450 turkeys from Wegmans,. Your donations are right now in the process of buying those side items. In addition, we were able to provide Faquier Shelter with $400 to buy side items for the Thanksgiving dinner that they serve every year to those in need.
I can't thank you all enough, my heart is full.

We are a group of churches local to Haymarket, Virginia. We represent a variety of faiths, and every year we join together for a Thanksgiving food drive. This is such a wonderful experience, and last year we put together more than 500 Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. The baskets contain everything one family needs for Thanksgiving dinner.
It's so heartbreaking that more families than ever are need in our community, but we can't do our food drive because of COVID. We usually stand out front of grocery stores, pass out shopping lists, collect the donations when customers are on their way out, and then put together the baskets. We can't do that this year.
We work in partnership with the Haymarket Food Pantry, Haymarket, VA; Yeshua Bread of Life Food Pantry, Manassas, VA; SERVE Food Pantry, Manassas, VA; and House of Mercy Food Panty, Manassas, VA. We also distribute some of the baskets ourselves to families in need.
A generous grocery store, Wegmans, is donating turkeys, and we are grateful to Giant, Safeway, and Walmart for letting us stand out front in the past.
Even in a year like this one, we have so much to be thankful for. A good Thanksgiving dinner would mean so much to families in need. A donation of $15 would buy all the sides, such as mashed potatoes, stuffing, beans, corn, dessert, etc., we need for one family. We would like to provide the food pantries with money to buy the sides by Monday, November 16th.
Can you help us in any way?
