Help Us Serve Warm Meals and Hope to Our Homeless Neighbors!
We’re doing it again this year!
Thanks to everyone’s support last year, we were able to cook and deliver hundreds of homemade Thanksgiving meals to our unhoused neighbors across Oakland and San Leandro. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement made a difference, and we’re so grateful.
This year we’re continuing the tradition and aiming to serve over 200 full meals again. Every plate will be made with love, from scratch, and served with care to those who need it most.

A Legacy of Love and Giving
This tradition started in 2006 when Michael “Bear” Wall and his daughter Megan began cooking and serving Thanksgiving meals for local homeless encampments. After she passed in 2015, Bear has kept the tradition alive every year in her memory, making sure no one is forgotten on the holiday.
I’m proud to be helping again this year to keep that legacy going. Together, we’ll be cooking, packing, and personally delivering every meal with heart.

We’ll be serving meals the day after Thanksgiving this year. The plan is to start at the 72nd Avenue encampment near the Coliseum, then head over to the 66th Avenue encampment, and finish in West Oakland, setting up in front of Bear’s shop to serve anyone who needs a meal.
Every plate will be served with love, gratitude, and kindness.
