Thank You NHS Care packages Basildon ITU

My Best Friend is an Outreach Sister in the Intensive Care Unit at Basildon Hospital, she is my hero and I could not be prouder of the amazing job she has done,  not only in recent months but over her entire career! OUR NHS ARE TRULY INCREDIBLE

I check in with Edel most days to see how things are going and over the last month or so it has been obvious that each shift is becoming  more difficult, she and her colleagues are working under such immense pressure and the devastation of losing patients to COVID is a heartbreaking yet daily occurrence.  We can not even begin to imagine what these people are going through on a daily basis. 

As I sit here this evening waiting for Boris’ announcement I have decided that I would like try and give something back to the AMAZING medical professionals working tirelessly at Basildon Intensive Care Unit. In an ideal world I would like to do something for EVERY single NHS WORKER but you have to start somewhere!

My intention is to put together a small care package for each member of the staff, its nowhere near what they deserve but will hopefully be something to put a smile on their face at the end of very long shift. I fully appreciate that money is tight for so many in these times but if you could spare a £1 or £2 I would be truly grateful!
