Thank our First Responders: Care Package Drive

We’re all still processing what happened on April 17th, and the weight of it doesn’t disappear overnight. But in the midst of tragedy, there’s something beautiful about the strength of our community.

All six individuals injured in the FSU shooting are expected to make a full recovery. Thanks in no small part to the incredible response from FSU PD and the TMH healthcare workers who acted with courage and compassion. FSU PD subdued the threat in under 5 minutes. They saved lives - they saved our lives.

In honor of their bravery, Nole Med is organizing a care package drive for both FSU PD and TMH staff. We’re inviting anyone who feels moved to join us in writing thank-you notes or donating small comfort items. Even a simple message or a snack can go a long way in showing our appreciation.

We may still be grieving, but this is one way we can come together to heal, by turning gratitude into action.

All proceeds will be used to purchase supplies to build care packages for those first responders who supported our campus in a time of need. Care package supplies include things like donation boxes (for around campus), thank you cards, gift cards, snacks and drinks, “on shift” essentials, and more. The money will help us put more valuable items in these care packages to really show our first responders how much they mean to us.
