Turf Games Australian Bush Fire Fundraiser

It has been difficult to watch the Australian bushfire crises unfold. We experienced it in a tiny way when we were in Sydney at the end of November. With Australia being the Turf Games 'second home' we want to use our amazing community to help as many people that have been affected as possible.
To help raise money for two charities working hard to help the people, animals and communities affected, we have decided to launch a fund raise challenge on SATURDAY 18TH JANUARY. How far can we virtually travel from Brisbane, heading south around Australia in 3.5 hours at CrossFit Putney in London using the ergs and bikes they have - rowing machines, ski ergs, echo bikes, burpees (1 burpee = 20m) and running. At the end of the 3.5 hours we will tally up and see how far we got.

There are 3 ways to get involved -
1) Come to CrossFit Putney in London between 1pm and 5pm for 3 minutes or 3 hours and get stuck in
2) Rack up some km's or burpees at your local gym or on a run
3) Get your gym or studio involved on the 18th, accumulate as much distance as you can as a community and we will add up everyone's effort and see how far around Australia we can get as ONE BIG COMMUNITY
50% of Funds will go directly to WIRES
and
50% of Funds will go to the NSW Rural Fire Service and the 3 families of the firefighters who tragically lost their lives.
ON SUNDAY 19TH WE WILL TALLY UP ALL KM'S FROM THOSE WHO TOOK PART FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND SEE HOW FAR AS A COMMUNITY WE TRAVELED AROUND AUSTRALIA

The money will be sent from Go Fund Me to Andrew Manteit's UK account - it will then be sent from his UK account directly to the 2 charities in Australia split 50/50.
We will confirm on social media and email once the funds have been donated.
