My 18th Birthday

Hey everyone! My 18th birthday is this Thursday, June 4th. Given the state of the world right now, I don't feel comfortable making the day about myself. So I am hoping to instead make that day about larger issues at hand. In lieu of birthday presents and wishes, I would greatly appreciate if you could donate to this GoFundMe that's funds will go directly to Black Lives Matter. This fundraiser is not meant to alienate anyone or make an offensive statement. Rather, I just ask that you recognize this is an important organization to me and help me celebrate my birthday in a way that feels appropriate.
