Zacks Fundraiser

Zack, aged 12 has always been a healthy, fun-loving and, mischievous little boy who loved nothing more than climbing, playing out with his mates and riding his bike.

On the 19th August 2021, Zack was admitted to hospital suffering with severe headaches and nausea. Later that evening, he had a seizure. Tests determined that Zack had excessive fluid on the brain so emergency surgery was performed to drain it. When he was stable, Zack was transferred to Royal Victoria Infirmary. More tests were performed and we were given news that we never expected to hear in a million years. Zack has a brain tumour. They’ve also now found cancerous cells in his spine.

Zack has recently had his first chemotherapy session. His treatment is expected to last approximately 1 year.
