Teshia update:

Our beautiful fighter has been placed on hospice care earlier this week. She is being made comfortable in her home surrounded by her closest family as she makes her way from the physical realm and onward to heaven. Thank you all so much for your kind words, prayers, support and contributions of all kinds that you have extended to her and her family throughout her fight.

It’s hard to see what the purpose of all this is but our faith is strong and we know this battle has impacted so many people and changed the perception we have on life and what is most important.

Teshias mother, Mary, has remained on the frontlines of this from the very beginning. She has cared for Teshia in ways only a mother can. She’s been by her side the entire battle and stepped in as the primary guardian for all four of Teshia’s children. Mary will soon be left with Teshia’s legacy and the responsibility of raising her beautiful children, per Teshia’s wishes.

Though Mary would not have it any other way and she is the best fit to raise and care for these beautiful babies, it does come with a financial burden that we are hoping to help lessen. She, like Teshia, is a hard working and independent woman who might not ever reach out and ask for help, so on her behalf, we are.

We are starting a new GoFundMe with the focus of keeping her children’s lives and routines as normal as possible and to help with the big changes and transitions that are coming. Mary will be moving the children into her home, keeping them enrolled in their private school and extra curricular activities, and she will eventually need to return back to work and will incur additional child care expenses for the younger boys along with the general expenses that come with raising littles and making her house a home for them.

Throughout this battle, Mary has already had to withdraw all of her retirement savings in order to provide the basic needs for herself, Teshia, and Teshia’s children. This allowed her to be fully present with Teshia during the last year and a half which was so necessary. Mary has pre-paid for funeral expenses as well (which are costly) as Teshia wanted to be included in the planning of that.

Mary is an amazing mother, truly, you can see where Teshia gets her strength, hustle, perseverance and determination.

Please help and donate in any way you can to keep these young children’s lives as normal as possible and to help their Grammy with the additional financial impacts she will soon face as she becomes their full sole legal guardian while she is also grieving.

In honor of Teshia’s legacy, her beautiful kiddos Jaed, Jazmine, Saint, and Jaxtyn and her amazing Mother need our support now more than ever as the inevitable is yet to come.
