This is probably the most horrific event my life has produced. My life didn’t matter, my 4 month old daughters did. I didn’t care about me or my own safety or anything except making sure she was okay. Ayla was safe at home with dad. But Talia and I, We were upside down, all airbags deployed. And she was crying. Not hurt, just confused. I had to get my own seatbelt off before I could get to her. Thank god for seatbelts. When I got myself down I had to crawl in the back and found her completely safe.

Her car seat (Graco snugride 35) was completely untouched. Not a single scratch on my beautiful baby. All the wreckage went around her entirely. When I was able to get her out of her car seat, she went silent as I held her. She just stared at me. My peace. My Angel. People had stopped and called out. When I called out and I said I had a baby, there was huge commotion and instantly all hands on deck to get us out. They were able to break the window next to Talias seat and I handed her off. I was able to get out and try to make sense of what just happened.

I was in turlock at my brother and sister-in-law’s house setting up the decorations for Aylas little family get together for her 2nd birthday (which is tomorrow) I was on my way home. All her presents in the trunk because I had not found the wrapping paper or helium in turlock so was going to the target around the corner from my house.

I was driving and had merged into the far right lane on the 99. The person next to me was ahead of me just enough that I was in their blind spot. They decided to make a lane change, I slammed on my brakes and pulled slightly to the right to miss them hitting me. But I was head to a guard rail. I over corrected. And I swear my front end hit the back of their car. But when I over corrected, my suv went to the guard rail and flipped upside down into the ditch.

How does this Happen? How does someone cause an accident and not stop? I could have died. My baby could have died. If Ayla was in the car where she normally sits, she would not have been okay. I’m just sad.

I accepted a job finally after being off for so long because of the pandemic and then having Talia. Im an esthetician and I use my hands with all my services. After going to the ER I found out I did indeed fracture my right radius… I’m now not sure what is in store for me and my family in regards to a car, a job for myself, and how long it’s gonna take for us to pay this all off. I will be out of work for at least 6 weeks. And that’s even if my new position would even still be there. If not, I will be back to square one.

Unemployment has been a nightmare and I’m scared for what the next month holds. I had to cancel my daughters second birthday party and I’m completely crushed. I already gipped her on her first birthday because of the pandemic and now I ruined her second birthday because of this car accident and me not being able to move a whole lot the day after.

Any money donated would be used to make sure our bills are paid while I’m incapable of working and hopefully helping with a new car. I had just bought that suv a month and a half ago. My credit was hit hard for the loan inquiry and the down payment was hefty. I saved up for that car for months. And now I have nothing. No job to even build back what is lost and will be lost in these next coming months
