Terri Jackson- Legacy For A Legend

A message from Keely Wadden, Owner D10
As many of you know, we lost the heart and soul of our D10 community this month. Terri Jackson - our inspiration, our light, our cheerleader, our ‘warden’- passed away after a brief illness. Prior to her diagnosis, Terri was always dreaming and planning of ways to rebuild D10 to its fullest potential. Covid did a number on our bottom line and we had big plans to reinvigorate our community and become even more successful than we were before 2020 and all the struggles that came with it.
When we lost Terri, I held the keys to our gym (and this dream) in my hand and decided to throw in the towel. I just didn’t think it could be done without her. Until I spoke to her family. We decided that the best way to honor our legend was to keep D10 and our community going, to do it FOR her.
And so, with that in mind, we are launching our Legacy for a Legend campaign. Money raised through this campaign will assist with infrastructure expenses within the gym like heat pumps and will go towards the development and facilitation of new programming that will broaden our community and have a positive impact on the physical and mental health of all participants. New programming will include training for golf, expanded dryland training for hockey and baseball, a Legends program for seniors as well as a scholarship program.
A special thank you to Wilson Investments for their patience and support as we navigate this new reality and make plans for the future.
And deepest gratitude to Keith and Christian for their partnership and initiative as we move forward in the best way we know how; creating a legacy fit for a legend. We are taking comfort in knowing we’ll have the potential to change hundreds of lives for the better just like Terri did.
If you would like to be a part of our Legacy for a Legend campaign, please consider making a donation and watch for future events.
“We’ve got this. I need everyone to be strong. I don’t like weakness.”
