"Mom, I'm so scared. We're flooded in. Oh my God, I just watched our truck get washed away. The RV is flooded, Mom, we lost everything. His parents house is flooded. Oh, momma, I just had to watch Daniel's dog drown. We couldn't get him out. The water is rising so fast. Oh, Momma, I can't breathe. Momma, they can't swim. There are so many people that can't get out. We've called 911, but no one is coming. I love you, Momma. I'm so scared."

That was just a small part of the heartbreaking conversation we had, in those early morning hours.

Their first reaction was to call and wake his parents up. Their next action was shooting their gun up in the air, to awaken the neighbors.

After getting on the neighbor's roof, watching the water rise nearly as high as the roof they were standing on, witnessing their parents get washed out of the house, fearful for their livesand their parent's lives as they waited in the water, for a couple of hours (thank God they were able to catch a tree to hang on to while hanging on to each other, my daughter, her husband, step son, and her in laws were finally rescued by the boats. Their lives were saved, thank You, God. However, the flood took all of their material possessions from them. Their home, their truck, their clothes....

Friends have offered to start a go fund me on their behalf, but all my daughter could say was, "There are so many others that need it so much more"

Any of you that knows my daughter knows that she's been working since she was 14 years old. She's worked hard her whole life, to have those things that she lost. She may be too selfless to ask, but, as her mother, I can ask on her behalf.
