A Temple for the Temple of the Waters

For something like 20 years, the Temple of the Waters has been a place where people can gather to connect with Spirit in an authentic way. Where people can nurture seeds of community resilience in the face of an unclear future, and an uncertain now.

And for all of those years, the physical hub of the Temple of the Waters has been an altar in the living room or bedroom of one of us.

...and we are now ready to take the (next step) of having our own space totally dedicated to hosting Temple of the Waters offerings!

We're planning to use the space to host the spiritual gatherings, folk culture happenings, and prayer nights that we've always done. This will also expand our capacity to host retreats and performances and classes and meetings for people affiliated in some way with the Temple. And we will become a Much more accessible space once we finish installing a wheelchair-accessible bathroom as part of the project!

Our budget for building the project is $60,000. The goal of this GoFundMe is to raise 5% of that to help us with the initial fees that it takes to get a project rolling (plans, surveys and permit costs). Whatever we cannot raise or have donated will end up being a bank loan, so whatever contribution you can make will reduce the monthly cost we take on to bring the space into being. The smaller the cost, the more freedom we have to make offerings in the space!
