Temple Sinai Sisterhood Shelter Dinner 12-13-2022

Dear Temple Members & Friends,

We hope this email finds you and your families safe and healthy.

As many of you know, the Sisterhood of Temple Sinai has worked with Family Promise to serve dinner at the Homeless Shelter in Hackensack for decades. We typically provide a full meal for them every December with the help of scores of volunteers from Temple Sinai.

Because of the ongoing pandemic, the shelter residents continue to reside in local hotels. Unfortunately, the number of homeless people is rising daily and they need our help now more than ever!

Sisterhood has volunteered to provide 170 meals for the homeless shelter December 13th and we need your help. We are not asking anyone to serve or cook, as the shelter once again, due to the pandemic, is not allowing us to serve the guests. We are instead asking for donations and have arranged for Yasou Santorini, a local restaurant in Tenafly to provide 170 meals that Family Promise staff members will distribute.

If we exceed our goal, extra funds will go to Family Promise to apply toward their Christmas dinner, as they have reached out to us asking for help for that meal.
