My name is Tenzin Wongmo, and I’m a Tibetan woman who grew up in Nepal before being brought to the U.S. as a child. After 15 years in America, I am finally ready to return home — to reconnect with my culture, rebuild my life, and start a new chapter with my husband, Telly, and our dog Momo.
Momo isn’t “just a pet.” For me, he is family, a source of comfort through panic attacks, trauma healing, and some of the hardest years of my life. There is no world where I leave him behind. But getting a dog to Nepal safely — especially from the U.S. — is extremely expensive. Nepal does not allow large dogs in-cabin, and Momo is 45 pounds. The only humane option is professional pet relocation, which handles the flight, the USDA paperwork, customs in Kathmandu, and safe delivery to us. I want to bring him home the proper and safe way.
WHY WE ARE ASKING FOR HELP
The full relocation service — including flight, paperwork, customs clearance, and Nepal stability — is a major expense. After adding the kennel, vet exam, and courier fees, the total needed becomes more than we can manage alone. But with help, we can make this dream real — a true return home, together.
COST BREAKDOWN
The first step in getting Momo to Nepal is covering the initial deposit. That deposit officially starts everything — his booking, his assigned relocation manager, the vet paperwork process, and all the coordination between the U.S. and Nepal. From there, costs include his international flight, the custom kennel required for long-haul travel, USDA endorsements, vet appointments, and the team in Nepal who handles his arrival and clears him safely through customs. Every dollar goes directly toward getting Momo to Nepal safely with us. Remainder of the cost would go to housing and securing long term stability in Nepal.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO ME
I came to America at 11 years old. Nepal is the closest place to my homeland — the closest place where Tibetans like me can still feel our culture, language, and roots. This journey is how I reconnect with who I truly am. Telly and I are ready to rebuild our life there. We are ready to start fresh. We just need to get Momo there safely.
If you donate, or even share this, you are helping a Tibetan woman finally return home — not alone, not broken, not leaving anyone behind. Thank you for reading. Thank you for helping us bring Momo home.
