Assalamu Alaykum everyone, I hope you are doing well. This a continuation campaign for the Telfine Mosque.

I'd like to say thank you all so much for your generosity that was shown towards the fundraiser, your kindness goes a long way. Families and children will finally be able to have a place to call their own masjid. Thank you for your generosity and your amazing support. Your funds and kindness made all of this possible. Much progress has been made in the rebuilding of Telfine Masjid. Majority of it is finished, the foundation/structure of the masjid has been built (see step-by-step building process). However, Demsira Association has informed us that they are in need of more funds due to rising costs in materials and labor. In order to complete the finishing touches of the masjid, a report has been attached which shows the remaining cost in Moroccan Dirhams which in Canadian dollars is converted to roughly $7430 Canadian dollars.

The mosque was hosting prayers for around 15-20 people daily and 30-40 people occasionally (holiday periods). The mosque was also hosting the reading of the Qur'an, as well as, the memorizing of the Qur'an (Hifz). Additionally, the mosque was home to 2 major events, the celebration of Eid-Al-Adha and Eid-Al-Fitr. These activities have been abandoned due to the significant deterioration of the premises of the mosque and the unstable structural supports.

 

Please help us and the people of this beautiful village Telfine achieve our goal in a full reconstruction of Telfine Mosque.
