Teleri Mia Foundation

This year, I will be taking on a number of sporting challenges to raise money for our close friends beautiful baby girl Teleri Mia, who tragically passed away in August 2022.

In memory of Teleri, Luke and Kirbie have set up 'The Teleri Mia Foundation', with the hope of providing support to those who have suffered such heartbreaking loss.

To start us off for the year, myself and Nicky Thomas will be running the Newport Marathon on 28th April. Myself and Nicky would love raise a healthy amount to kick start the fundraising for the year ahead.

I would be so grateful if we can raise as much as possible for this amazing cause, and show Luke, Kirbie and their baby boy, Teleri's little brother Teddi, how special this gorgeous girl is to all of us as family, friends and the wider community.

Here is Luke and Kirbies story:

“Teleri was born on the 15th October 2021, she was a healthy, happy beautiful little girl from the very beginning. On the 13th August 2022, when Teleri was just under 10 months old, she suddenly become extremely unwell. Teleri then passed away on the 16th August. Teleri was so strong and put up the biggest fight, we are forever proud of her! Our world has completely fallen apart since losing Teleri, and something we have realised is there is not much support in this area for bereaved parents. This is the reason we would like to start this foundation, to help other grieving parents and also to keep the memory of our beautiful little girl alive. We hope from this foundation, we will be able organise events, activities and support groups that will offer the opportunity for bereaved parents and families to meet and support each other, as they are the only people who truly understand the devastating heartache of losing a child. We hope that we will be able to fund counselling sessions for parents that need them and so much more. Teleri was the kindest little soul and we know she would want us to help other families going through what we are”
