Teesside Running Club Take on the Chicago Marathon for HDSA
This October, Anth, Chis and Sean, the Teesside Running Club, will be lacing up for the Chicago Marathon in support of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), raising vital funds for research into this devastating illness.
We’ve chosen this charity because of the story of one of our OGs, Charlotte. Many of you will know Charlotte from her page, TheHDHun – where she shares her journey as a Huntington’s Disease advocate, young carer, and proud voice for a cause so close to her heart. Her page is a positive and powerful space, documenting her family’s experience with this rare, fatal genetic condition.
Determined to make a difference, we’re setting out to raise as much as possible for HDSA. To kick things off, we increased the entrance fee to our recent Adidas Night, with every penny of the extra proceeds going straight into our fundraising pot. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve already raised over £700 – and we’re only just getting started!
Over the next 9 weeks, we’ll be working hard to raise even more for this worthy cause – so keep an eye out for updates and ways you can get involved.
If you’d like to donate, the link is in our bio – every contribution counts.
