Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts but with so much hope. My sister-in-law Donna Boosamra has recently been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, a life-altering diagnosis that has turned her world upside down in a matter of days.

She is now facing a long, difficult treatment plan:

3 months of chemotherapy ➝ major surgery ➝ another 3 months of chemotherapy.

This journey will require all of her strength, courage, and focus — and it will keep her off work for the entire duration of treatment.

Through all of this, she has shown incredible bravery. She is determined to beat this, to stay strong for her family, and to come out the other side healing and whole. But like so many fighting cancer, the financial strain adds a weight that no one should have to carry on top of everything else.

We are raising funds to help cover her living expenses during treatment and recovery — essentials like her mortgage, car payments, utilities, insurance, food, and day-to-day needs while she is unable to work.
