We are Hilary and Amy, proud mums to three beautiful boys — Bowie, Remy and Teddy.

Our journey to parenthood began in 2018 and was filled with years of heartbreak, challenges and uncertainty. After a long road through multiple clinics, we were blessed with our first two sons through home insemination, both carried by Amy. When we began trying for our third child, we were thrilled to fall pregnant naturally through home insemination again, but sadly experienced an early miscarriage.

Knowing we needed additional support, we sought fertility treatment and were recommended to Adora Fertility after another clinic was unable to assist us. From our very first appointment, the experience was seamless. Every member of the Adora team welcomed us with open arms, providing compassionate care and support throughout our journey. We were never just a number, we were a family treated with respect, and they shared our goal of creating a baby.

Our youngest son, Teddy, was conceived through ICSI with Adora Fertility. We can never truly express the gratitude we feel for Adora helping us complete our family. Without them, our precious Teddy — the missing piece of our puzzle — would not be here.

Over the last year, we have proudly worked alongside Adora Fertility and the Sydney Swans, sharing our story as a proud LGBTQIA+ family and advocating for greater visibility and access to fertility care for all families.

As Teddy approaches his first birthday, we wanted to celebrate by giving back. In his honour, we are launching a fundraiser to help another family access fertility treatment through Adora Fertility. We have chosen for the funds raised to support a queer couple in NSW, as we are deeply passionate about ensuring LGBTQIA+ people have the opportunity to turn their dreams of parenthood into reality.

We don't know how much this fundraiser will raise, but we do know that every dollar can make a difference. Whether the contribution is large or small, our hope is that it helps bring another family one step closer to meeting the child they've been dreaming of.
