Tears of Gaza: Help my family survive Gaza's war

Dear World,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. My family: mom and dad, my brother, and my grandpa (4 people in total), are currently living in a tent that offers no shelter from the relentless rain. The tent is dirty and infested with pests making it a breeding ground for illness, and the lack of hygiene is a daily struggle for survival.

My father, Osama, dedicated 20 years of his life working passionately serving as an engineer in MACC, one of the oldest engineering company in Palestine to make sure his community had better access to clean water and proper sanitation services, especially after the challenges of wars. He is now retired.

My mother. Majeda has been working as a high school physics teacher for 25 years. She is an incredibly strong woman who carries the financial burdens of the family after the retirement of my father. She dedicates herself to the community work by supporting families and individuals in need.

My brother, Sohaib has earned his bachelor’s degree from the mechanical engineering department before he was driven to return to Palestine to work in the same company that my father used to work at by a genuine desire to uplift the standard of living and promote sustainable development in Palestine.

My grandpa, Abdulhamid, is left alone after my grandma passed away.

Our home built with passion and love stone after stone after my parents invested all their lifetime savings, has been destroyed during this relentless conflict, leaving my parents in a state of despair.

Witnessing my family's struggle from far away in Turkey where I am doing my master’s in physics is heartbreaking, and I am determined to do everything in my power to help them evacuate and find a place of peace and safety.

I have created this GoFundMe campaign, with the hope that compassionate and generous individuals like you will join hands to support this urgent cause. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant impact on my parents' ability to evacuate and start anew.

My goal is to collect $50,000, which will be used for relocating them from the Gaza Strip to Egypt. This amount is needed to cover paying for Rafah crossing along with expenses for food, transportation, rent, bills, and purchasing essential items such as warm winter clothing
