My dad was recently put on hospice after having a 4+ year fight with cancer. Cancer is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining to both those afflicted and their families. My mom has put her heart and soul into fighting with my dad. She is giving everything.

If you were to ask my mom how everything is, she wouldn't tell you that she is struggling. She wouldn't mention that due to unfortunate circumstances she is no longer working --or how she had to manage to come up with money to fix her car and sewer system last week. Mom would never tell you how scared she is. How much it hurts knowing that she is going to lose the man she has been married to for the last 35 years.

My parents are the most giving and caring people I have ever met. The last four years have been extremely difficult, with little bits of sunshine in between. I want to give my mom and dad some sunshine with a big ol' rainbow.


The funds raised will be going to my mother, to pay for food, bills, and eventually help out with my father's funeral costs.


I understand if you can't donate. My dad does love some good old fashion letters. He enjoys dad jokes and hearing about how cool he is.
