Team Ted - 6 year old Teddy’s fight against cancer

We write this with heavy hearts and a renewed sense of urgency as we share an update on Teddy's journey. Since being diagnosed in October 2023, Teddy, our brave little fighter, has undergone rigorous treatments in his battle against high risk neuroblastoma. Despite his incredible courage and the unwavering support of everyone at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, we received devastating news: the cancer is winning.

The weight of this update is immeasurable. We've poured every ounce of hope and strength into Teddy's treatment, but the reality is harsh. Yet, in the face of this setback, Teddy remains our beacon of resilience, reminding us to keep fighting and to keep believing.

As Teddy's family, we are grappling with a complex mix of emotions. Alongside our grief, there's an undeniable sense of determination. We refuse to accept defeat without exhausting every possible avenue for Teddy.

Despite the incredible work of the NHS to get us this far, Teddy’s original treatment has not worked as planned and his clinical trial has now stopped. Teddy is now starting a new round of chemotherapy which we are hoping helps.

The cost of continued treatment, including alternative therapies and potential clinical trials, is staggering. We find ourselves at a crossroads, desperately seeking a path forward for our precious Teddy. We have previously fundraised for Sheffield Children’s hospital, and continue to support the hospital and charity respectively. Yet, at this stage we are asking for individualised support for Teddy and potential future treatment.

In times like these, we turn to our community - to you, our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers - for support. Your generosity has been a source of strength and hope throughout Teddy's journey, and now, we ask for your help once more.
