UPDATE - 7/28/22 - After just 3 days we have met our fundraising goal!! I am moved by the amount of support by those near and far. To be eligible for the race, I had to front the goal amount of $2,050 to RMHC. Your donation here will aid in offsetting this cost. Now that we've hit the goal, any money given past the goal amount will be used strictly for travel and lodging. I truly appreciate the continued support!

My name is Matthew Cabel and I'll be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2023 Tokyo Marathon! This will be my third time fundraising with RMHC to help keep families together.

Since I ran my first marathon in 2017, my thoughts on what was possible have entirely changed. The distance itself is an excellent metaphor for life. There will be challenges and triumphs along the way, but it ultimately shows you that success is not a chance but a choice. With ambitions to join the ranks of elite Filipino marathoners, the 2023 Tokyo Marathon is another stepping stone in that journey.
