I met Michelle back in 2004 in Christchurch before we worked together in Antarctica. Since then, she’s been my BFF. Someone who radiates strength, creativity, and kindness.

This fall, Michelle will release her long-awaited book, Outer Space is Closer than Antarctica, a project she has poured her heart into for years. At the same time, she is now facing one of the biggest challenges of her life: a recent breast cancer diagnosis.
