Team Mari Christmas 2020

Hi, I'm Mari. I'm 13 years old and from Flint, Michigan. Most people know me as Little Miss Flint. I'm an activist, advocate, and philanthropist. I'm also a Flint kid that loves giving back to other Flint kids.
For the past few years, I have been hosting huge holiday events to spread the joy of Christmas to kids in my community. I love Christmas and being able to spread the magic of Christmas to other kids is my favorite thing to do. In years past we have done whatever we can to make our events something truly memorable, including having inflatables, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, stocking stuffing, a hot cocoa bar, real reindeer, book giveaway, cold weather gear giveaway, and a black Santa clause.
With covid-19 this year is going to look a little different. Most of the fun stuff we normally do, we won't be able to do this year. But Christmas is still coming and I still want to be able to spread holiday cheer to as many kids as possible. Most kids here in the Flint area have been out of school physically since March of 2020. Covid has been rough on everyone, but the kids are often not thought about.
I have two ideas for how to pull this off this year. We can do a drive-thru event where families can come pick up toys or we can do deliveries directly to the kids.
