Overview
Team Kona is a group of four recent college graduates that are racing in the Ironman Hawaii 70.3 on June 4, 2022. We all want to race for a purpose outside personal achievement and have chosen three causes to raise money for in hopes we can take on some of the pain others are going through. Also, we aim to simultaneously generate hope for a stronger future by passing the finish line with those we are racing for in our thoughts. Our plan is to grow Team Kona and continue to participate in events across the country in support of meaningful causes.
Beneficiaries
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: Assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. More info here
- Shelly's Support Squad: Fundraising for breast cancer research and treatment efforts. More info here
- Sean North Memorial Scholarship: Established by the North family and Talk 2 Me, the scholarship will be given to two high school seniors that openly express their physical and mental health. Sean North Obituary More info here
