In February 2020, our 23-year-old son, Chase Soares, died in a tragic car accident. Please help us extend his legacy of kindness by supporting the Team Chase Foundation today!

Chase was a passionate basketball player. He exuded kindness, care, and compassion and never knew a stranger. If he knew you, Chase made sure you were fed, clothed, and you were, ok. He valued the gifts of family, good friends, and kindness to all.

In addition to losing Chase, our family unexpectedly lost two parents within a year. These losses, followed by the lockdown of the global pandemic, were unbearable, paralyzing, and debilitating.

So we harnessed our grief and threw ourselves into keeping Chase's memory alive by creating the Team Chase Foundation, a nonprofit organization designed to spread kindness through random acts, such as buying someone a meal or helping a friend. Helping other people in the memory of our son through the Team Chase Foundation has become the best thing to help us heal.

We went on the road to spread Chase's message of hope and kindness through the Chase Soares Kindness Ball Tour. We drove the bright orange team van from Massachusetts to Atlanta, where Chase was born, and spread acts of kindness along the way. We gave out gift cards, paid for meals, and even handed out flowers. We gave each recipient a round plastic disc in the shape of a basketball with a QR code that enables them to pass on an act of kindness to someone else. To keep the ball rolling!

Emily in Florida gave soup from her Panera Bread job to a local hospital patient. In Plymouth, MA, Susan donated food to a charity for senior citizens. In 2023, we will host the second Kindness Ball Tour, traveling from our home in Massachusetts to California, and we need your help to do this!

But that's not all...this year, the Team Chase Foundation awarded four “Chase Your Dreams and Soar High” Scholarships to graduating seniors at Falmouth High School who demonstrate a passion for basketball. We'll continue this tradition each year in Chase's name!

Our dreams for the Team Chase Foundation nonprofit 501(c)(3) become greater each day. But we need your help TODAY to continue to share the legacy of kindness Chase left for the world. Here is the TEAM CHASE approach:

By donating to this fundraiser today, you will help us put kindness into the world as Chase did every day of his life. Your donation will allow the Team Chase Foundation to
  • Spread kindness across the country during our upcoming 2023 Kindness Ball Tour; and
  • Give scholarships to 2023 graduating high school seniors!
You'll also support the
  • Chase Challenge Projects, which will support World Kindness Day on November 13, 2022, and other charitable causes throughout the year.
  • Chase Kindness Night, to be held January 20, 2023, as an interactive half-time event at Falmouth High School. We hope this concept can be replicated across the state and perhaps even into the NBA!
Chase and our family always dream big. So we also have high hopes for the longer-term future of the Team Chase Foundation.

We'd love to open a Foundation Office and a Grief Healing Center to offer resources for individuals seeking help for their grief or mental health recovery. Perhaps we'll even be able to further build out and administer a K-12 Chase Kindness Curriculum program like we have at Falmouth High School. We'd also love to host Chase Kindness Basketball Camps for children of all ages and to inspire acts of kindness into our daily lives on and off the court.

Your donation will generate the type of kindness Chase left for us and that this world needs more of. Please donate today as your first step in helping us achieve our and Chase's goal of spreading kindness!

Let's Get It, Let's Go!
