Team Canitz Racing Against Type 1 Diabetes

Team Canitz will be competing this January in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend to raise money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

Our daughter, Taylor, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes during the summer of 2021. As a complication of the disease her vision became compromised which progressed to a total loss of vision in both eyes by the end of the summer.

Taylor underwent lens replacement surgery in both eyes and has thankfully regained her vision at the middle and far distances.

Type 1 Diabetes affects not only the individual but their families and their friends.

Team Canitz would like to invite you to show your support by donating to our cause as we race against Type 1 Diabetes. All 6 of us will be running, including Taylor. She will be taking on the Half Marathon.
