Help Asylum Seekers at Border
Donation protected
We have been talking a lot about feeling helpless in the midst of this immigration crisis. Watching families be treated disrespectfully, seperated from the ones they love and trust most.
In response, our family has decided to head to Brownsville, Texas the first week of July to help immigrants who are seeking asylum. We will help at the bus station distributing supplies (backpacks, snacks and water) to families as they wait. Volunteering at Good Neighbor Settlement House where the asylum seekers spend the day. We will also help cook, prepare and bring meals to 100 asylum seekers living on the bridge, waiting to enter the US.
We are asking for donations so that we can go shopping locally for food and supplies that will help provide for these individuals.
