#Team Becky – Still Fighting the Good Fight

Story

#Team Becky – Still Fighting the Good Fight This GoFundMe is to support Becky Hobson. Many have reached out wondering how to help support Becky with the recent news of the progression of her metastatic breast cancer that has now spread to her brain and spinal fluid. Becky and Greg now live in Chelan, which makes it more logistically challenging for us all to lend day-to-day support. This is one meaningful way to help with medical and day-to-day expenses they face. Becky has been fighting metastatic breast cancer in her bones for the last 9 years and has bravely faced many rounds of chemo treatments. Becky has been a warrior of strength, positivity, and inspiration to us all as she has lived with this beast of a disease. After several months of feeling like things weren’t right, in April of 2025, Becky learned that her cancer had progressed to her brain tissue and fluid, presenting in a dozen+ brain tumors. This led to a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) which confirmed the cancer had spread to her spinal fluid, and she has leptomeningeal disease with no known cure. Becky shared she was given a short timeline of 2-5 months, but in true ‘Becky style,’ she is determined to beat the odds. We all know she will! Late last year, Greg went through a job transition and has cut back his hours to spend as much time as he can with Becky, cutting into their monthly income. All proceeds will 100% go to Becky and Greg. This GoFundMe is set up with support from Becky, Greg, and Alyssa, and they appreciate anyone who would like to help in this way. Let's get our pink 'Team Becky' bracelets on and lend all the support we can. I am Kirsten Schwab, Becky’s cousin, and live in Edmonds, Washington. I love my cousin dearly and am the sponsor of this request, knowing how many people would love to help in any way they can. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1018262008259482
