We are adopting! This simple statement both excites and terrifies us both. Some people dream of being ballerinas or firefighters when they grow up, but for us we knew we always wanted to be parents.
We have been on this journey for almost four years now and each contract renewal and home study update saps more of the funds that we have worked so hard to raise. This makes it harder and harder to be able to put our yes on the table for situations that are at the upper end of our budget. We have also found that more and more of the situations we have been seeing have required funding in full at the time of the match.
We can't thank you all enough for the support and love you have shown us as we have pursued adoption. Your support of our t-shirt sales, Easter egg hunts, and auctions have helped us make it this far.
