Even though it is rarely in the news any more, the refugee crisis in many parts of the world is escalating. I am returning to Greece this June for my third trip to teach refugees in Greece. The kids that we work with are unaccompanied minors, meaning that they are without parents or guardians. We have now formed a nonprofit–REAL International (Refugee Education and Learning)–and are sending volunteer educators and other service providers all year. I will be there for a month this time around and appreciate the support of friends and family toward travel expenses and teaching materials.
