Hi my name is Peter Branker and I’m raising some more funds for the Teaching & Community Support Project in Zanzibar run by African Impact. This year I will be volunteering once again for the fifth time in 3 years. While there I will be teaching English to both nursery school children, and adults and I will also be getting involved in local community projects in the Jambiani villages in Zanzibar. This is truly an amazing project which directly impacts the whole community and gives individuals the chance to dream of a better life through further education and jobs prospects.

I fell in love with this place and the project on my first visit in 2022 and so far I have been very fortunate to be able to bring many donations of school supplies, football kits, mobile phones etc. to this project. Together with your support we have been able to raise approximately £7,700 so far to help with installing electric and running water into some schools as well as the fitting of new doors, bathrooms and the repairing of a roof to the adult school.

I would really like to be able to bring this total raised up to in excess of £10,000 which is why I’ve pledged to raise another £2,500. There is lots more work to do here.  The building and completion of a computer classroom is the next target and it’s already underway.  If we could help to complete that also it would be amazing.  

As with all fundraising I need the support of like minded friends, family and of course the general public so I would love it if you would consider a donation to help me reach my milestone target.
