Teacher Loses Everything in Apartment Fire

At around 3:30 this morning, we received a call from Mr. Jones letting us know that his apartment was among those that burned completely in a fire at the apartments on Burke & Fairmont last night. Thankfully, he is physically ok, but he escaped with literally only the clothes on his back and his phone. He narrowly escaped, because the fire started in the apartment directly behind him. He awoke to the smell of smoke, and even saw actual flames in his own bedroom! Everything he owns was burned in the fire, including his 3 cats (as far as he knows), which he is so heartbroken over.

Mr. Jones has been a teacher in Pasadena ISD for 23 years. His immediate concerns are replacing items needed everyday, but will soon be faced with the expenses of finding a new place to live, furnishing, and replacing all his items.
