Legal Defense for Mel Pino

Melissa Has stood up and spoke on behalf of most citizens in Escambia County (Pensacola, FL) and has faced retribution at every angle.  She has stood tall and taken it with dignity and respect never once wavering from cowardice acts thrown her way in attempts to silence our voice(s).  She has paid out of pocket for testing that needed done.  For numerous record requests in our drive for transparency in local government and has overcome every obstacle along the way.  The latest hurdle thrown her way is a legal attempt to silence her thru the court system.  Theres no doubt she will overcome this and still stand tall in our fight for transparency in local government.  She shouldn’t have to bear the financial burden that this is forcing upon her.  My hope is to show her we have her back just as she has done for us so often with poise & dignity.  We WILL continue our quest and she will be there with us and for us every step of the way.  Its time to take our community back and let the citizens of Escambia County be heard and NOT silenced.  --Tracy Olson McAdams

This is an instance of a government official bringing claims against a citizen for defamation per se, defamation, tortious inteference, pain and suffering, and immediate injunctive relief.

For years now Mel has been an advocate for the environment, the health and welfare of the people of this community and welcoming people into her home and neighborhood with initiatives from Navy point Advocacy and Research Committee, RESTORE, Opening Beach Access #4, ECAT, Corry Field Bridge advocacy and keeping the bridge open during the election so people could reach their precinct polling stations, Keeping Corry park open, Pensacola beach Roundabout common sense and safety.

Do we really want to let this fly in Escambia County? No my Escambia County will come together. - Kevin Wade
