It is with a very heavy heart I post this.  Yesterday I got a phone call from my sister stating she was just brutally beaten by her boyfriend and new born babies father.  Little Laine was born nearly 3 months premature on September 17th, today December 5th, was her due date. Instead of being filled with love and joy of just bringing her baby boy home just 2 weeks prior, she is battered with bruises, fractures, and blood.  On December 4th, he beat her for hours. In addition to kicking her in the face numerous times, he tried to stab her in the temple with a machete, Luckily only barely penetrating her skin. She was unable to get to a phone, struggling to get help. With little Laine crying in the same room, the father then proceeded to stick his fingers down the throat of his premature son to try and get him to stop crying. Chantelle, helpless could do nothing.  When he finally realized what he had done to her, he threw her in the shower and she was told to get all the blood off herself, as he sat down and took his meds, she was told to get dressed. Its only now she has access to a phone, calling 911 without saying anything she had hoped they would send someone. When he noticed she had access to the phone, he laid another beating on her, leaving her almost unrecognizable.  She told me she would have been dead in hours if no help would have come, and I absolutely know that's the truth. She is lucky to be alive.  To anyone who knows my sister, she has the kindest heart in the world, that would give her last penny to anyone who needed it more than her. . She is now stuck with the stress of being a single mother with no income. We are all unsure of the help the authorities may be giving at a time like this, but I am asking for any little thing that may help. Little Laine is on formula and any mother will know how expensive that can be. She has no income for rent, bills, groceries or anything day to day to provide for little Laine, as shes not on maternity leave either.  Anything helps, Thank you all in advance.  Haines Family
