Light Up Downtown Corvallis!

Help to light up downtown Corvallis! Many annual traditions, such as the Pastega Drive through lights and the Downtown Corvallis Christmas Parade, have been cancelled due to the restrictions from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The Downtown Corvallis Association hopes to brighten all of our spirits by lighting up the streets of Downtown Corvallis with white twinkle lights! These solar string lights will be wrapped around the trunks of the trees lining the streets of the downtown business district core.  The City of Corvallis Parks & Recreation Department has given their permission for us to do this project in partnership with the City Forester, Jennifer Killian. We will work with local volunteer groups to hang the lights once the funds have been raised. 

Madison Avenue is the heart of downtown and will be the first street to be wrapped in white lights. As more funds are raised, more streets will be decorated with lights. Any amount of money can be donated to project! Each block costs an estimated amount of $200 to be fully wrapped.  If you would like to sponsor an entire block, you can reach out directly to the DCA to write a check and can choose to be named as a sponsor in the promotion of the lights. All funds raised from this campaign will go directly and exclusively to the purchase of lights,  supplies for the hanging of lights, and for the promotion of the light event  in downtown Corvallis. The Downtown Corvallis Association is collecting these funds and the allocation of these funds will be overseen by the Board members of the DCA.
