THE DARWIN 50
Stacey McKenzie, a dynamic and determined woman from Darwin, is preparing for an incredible feat of endurance on July 20th. Known for her unwavering dedication to community welfare, Stacey will embark on a challenging 50-kilometer run, starting from Stuart Park highway, winding through the city, and finishing at the House of Darwin head office. This run symbolizes her deep commitment to making a positive impact on her beloved local community.
Stacey's passion for her community shines through in her decision to go the extra mile—literally. By supporting her run, you’re not just cheering her on; you’re contributing to vital initiatives that make our community stronger and more resilient. Your generosity will create lasting change for those who need it the most. Let's come together and make a difference!
House of Darwin Foundation is an
Indigenous-owned not-for-profit organisation
initiated by the House of Darwin team.
We are committed to creating positive change
and improving the lives of individuals and
communities in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Our mission is to empower local communities
through sports, education, and social
initiatives. We are authentic, traceable and
devoted to the people and causes we stand for
and with.
In 2022 the House of Darwin Foundation
launched Hoop Dreams. An initiative focused on
refurbishing basketball courts located in the
remote communities of the Northern Territory.
Basketball courts are a platform for health,
dance, and wellbeing for the wider community.
A central point that’s vital in bringing
people together.
The House of Darwin
Foundation have refurbished three basketball
courts with murals designed by the community,
for the community. A way for the youth to see
how their thoughts and creativity can directly
affect their environment. Our program aims to
create long lasting pride and unity in
Indigenous communities.
Making communities stronger — court by court.
