Billingham Town FC Launches 'Sponsor the Sponsor' Initiative in Partnership with BCT Aspire and Sovereign Supply Chain Services

Billingham Town FC are thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative, the 'Sponsor the Sponsor' scheme, in partnership with BCT Aspire and our primary sponsor, Sovereign Supply Chain Services Ltd. This unique event will take place during our final home game of the season against Bedlington Terriers, where we’re hoping to raise vital funds and raise the profile of BCT Aspire.

For this fixture, Sovereign Supply Chain Services Ltd has generously agreed to relinquish its match and stadium sponsorship naming rights, allowing new sponsors to step in and support a great cause. The funds raised from this initiative will be donated directly to BCT Aspire. The local charity are dedicated to providing youth clubs, music lessons, after-school programs, Duke of Edinburgh Award opportunities, clothing, and food vouchers to children in our community.

As part of the initiative, sponsors Kris Marsay and Mat Bruce have been training with the first-team squad for the past two months, being put through their paces in the hopes of making an appearance for our final home game. Both will be available for selection in the squad and are hoping to get some game time on the pitch.

Kris Marsay said, "It has been an incredible experience training with the first team. The effort and dedication required at this level have been eye-opening, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to step onto the pitch and be part of this special occasion."

Mat Bruce added: "The past two months have been tough but rewarding. The support from the club has been fantastic, and I’m honored to be involved in an initiative that not only gives us a unique opportunity but also raises funds for an amazing local charity."

First team manager Jamie Poole commented: "Kris and Mat have put in a great shift over the past couple of months, and their enthusiasm has been fantastic to see. They’ve taken the training seriously, and we’re excited to give them a chance to be part of the squad for such a meaningful occasion. It’s a brilliant initiative that brings the club and community together for a great cause."

Sponsorship opportunities will be available for the match ball, stadium, and even the new "players," ensuring multiple ways for individuals and businesses to get involved and support BCT Aspire.

Billingham Town FC Chairman Kevin Close expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating: "This is a fantastic opportunity to unite football, business, and charity for a meaningful cause. We are incredibly grateful to Sovereign Supply Chain Services Ltd for their generosity and to BCT Aspire for their tireless work supporting young people in our community."

We encourage fans, local businesses, and the wider community to take part in this unique fundraising event and help make a real difference.
