Hi, my name is Tatijanna and I am studying Sustainability and Outdoor Adventure Leadership at Southern Oregon University. My school has offered a dozen international trips for large sums of money out of pocket but these trips had nothing to do with my future goals. With that being said, I have had the WWOOF program as a dream since my senior year of high school. The WWOOF program stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. The best part about this program is the education aspect. You work with fellow volunteers on small organic farms or even sustainable lodges. The options are endless! The only requirements are to purchase your own tickets to the location and back, as well as any extra spending money. In exchange for your volunteer work, you get housing and meals from the hosts.
As I am a first-generation college in my family it would be an amazing opportunity to have such a thing come true, working in Greece. This would not only be supporting a dream but you would be supporting a young woman wanting to educate herself in a new space. This funding would go towards plane tickets, passport renewal, and work visa requirements.
I look forward to growing my world views and learning new skills in a beautiful space! Thank you for all of your support!
