Tasha's swim for Rossendale Radio, Community Radio Station
Donation protected
Hi there all,
I'm Tasha's Dad, She is a lovely young lady who Lives with Autism, despite the challenges that she faces in her everyday, life, she is always willing to help and support other people and help her community.
I am a volunteer presenter at 104.7 Rossendale Radio, a community radio station that broadcasts to the local community and promotes local groups and charities in the area. Tasha is a great supporter of the station and helps out with most of the outside broadcasts and events that the station does in the area , we call her our unofficial Rossendale Radio Roadie.
As we all know funding for such groups is always a challenge, Tasha had heard of a lovely young man, James, who did a fundraising event a few years ago for the station and then asked me if she could do one ?. Well once I'd dried my eyes I said " Of course you can, if you want to"
Tasha decided that as she loves swimming,
that's what she would do.
She has set herself a target of 50 lengths, she then asked me how far that is? i said "Just under a mile" How far is a mile dad? "61 lengths" says I. " I'm gonna do a mile dad."
I said "Wow you're gonna go the extra mile, good girl".
if you want to help Tasha go that extra mile, please do, the swim is scheduled for Wed 27th of August at 12.00
Thank you all for taking the time to listen.
