Tara & Joey’s IVF journey to baby Casey

I have set up this Go Fund me account for my best friend Tara and her husband Joey.  They’ve recently moved to Knoxville, TN  They will be doing IVF treatments and have just found out that insurance in TN does not cover or help with this. It will cost them $16,000 to try and have a child. 

Here’s their story:

They starting dating  in February 2010. They got married 10-11-12. In Aug 2015 they started officially trying to have a baby. August 2016-May 2017  they did fertility test and treatments. They had 3 failed IUIs and the next step was IVF. I have been best friend’s with Tara for years. She never imagined that she would have issues trying to conceive a baby. After 3 failed iuis, ivf was the next step however at the time they weren’t ready. 

They have unexplained infertility. No known cause to explain why they’ve had trouble. She had a chemical pregnancy in Nov 2019 which is an early miscarriage but it’s the only time  she’s ever had a positive pregnancy test. 

They have continued to try and haven’t been able to get pregnant. With the recent move to TN they went  to the doctor to try a begin IVF. Only to find out that their insurance will not help them at all. 

Tara is 35 and Joey is 32. 1 in 8 couples struggle with infertility. If you know these people then you know that they’re going to be the best parents.  Tara is one of the most kindest, giving people I know. They deserve to have a child. So I’m asking you if you are reading this to please donate whatever you can to help them.  I’ve never met a couple more deserving of a child.
