TAP-NY x Meals for Unity

As we enter the holiday season and reflect on the past year, we at TAP-NY are grateful for the continued support and connection from both our membership and the broader AAPI community. We are inspired by the resilience and creativity of the many grassroots organizations that have emerged during these challenging times.

 

One such organization is Meals for Unity , which was born out of frustration as violence against the AAPI community, in particular our elderly, escalated. Meals for Unity is dedicated to reducing food insecurity among marginalized populations in the New York City boroughs, starting with the AAPI elderly, through monthly meal donation events. They aim to (1) provide meals to vulnerable communities, (2) reinvigorate, amplify, and support local suppliers and food businesses, and (3) spread awareness and promote community action.

 

TAP NY  is proud to support and partner with Meals for Unity to fund 150 meals for their upcoming meal event taking place on December 4th and 5th. This will be their largest meal distribution to date of a total of 1000 meals for the holiday season! Help us reach our goal and spread the holiday cheer.
