Tango braucht Räume! (deutscher Text siehe unten)
This unusual campaign concerns two different locations:
The Tangokombinat Studio in Saarbrücken, Germany
and the Castello San Sebastiano da Po in Piemonte, Italy.
Both are places in which Melina Sedó & Detlef Engel teach and organise tango events and the situation is very comparable: Urgent renovation is needed, but because of the Corona-crisis, that has affected both tango and tourism severely, the funds have run out.
But tango needs locations if we want it to continue and to be alive in the future! This is why half of the campaign's winnings will go towards the renovation of the Tangokombinat studio and the other half to restore the dance floor at the Castello San Sebastiano da Po!

The Tangokombinat urgently needs to be renovated!
The headquarter of the Tangokombinat is from where we journeyed into Europe and the USA to spread close embrace tango and the philosophy of Encuentros Milongueros.
But the studio has been used for many years and we need to upgrade the hygienic standards because of the Corona-regulations. In particular the bathroom and kitchen sections need to be re-done, so that we can continue offering events and classes in our home-town.
We are grateful for donations from all who have enjoyed the space with us or who want to dance there in the future.
The Castello San Sebastiano da Po needs a proper dance floor!
This beautiful location in northern Italy was recently re-discovered by Detlef and Melina for their tango-retreats. The Castello has wonderful rooms and secret gardens, an attached restaurant with nice Italian food and can host up to 120 people. It has been renovated and revived by Luca Garrone and his family who are giving their heart, soul and immense funds into this project. This marvellous place is not only suited for seminars, but also for bigger events. We are looking forward to a long-lasting co-operation to create unforgettable tango experiences for tango-lovers from around the globe!
... The only problem is a very old wooden floor in one of the main halls. In order to make it suitable for tango, it needs to be refurbished. We really think the tango community will love this space and it is really worth while our patronage.

Diese ungewöhnliche Kampagne betrifft zwei verschiedene Orte:
Das Tangokombinat-Studio in Saarbrücken (Deutschland)
und das Castello San Sebastiano da Po im Piemont (Italien).
Beide Orte verbindet, dass Melina Sedó & Detlef Engel dort Tango unterrichten und Events organisieren. Die Situation ist in beiden Locations sehr ähnlich: Dringende Renovierungen stehen an, aber wegen der Corona-Krise, die Tango und Tourismus gleichermaßen hart getroffen hat, sind alle Mittel aufgebraucht.
Aber der Tango wird auch in Zukunft Räume benötigen! Deswegen wird die Hälfte der Einnahmen zur Renovierung des Tangokombinat-Studios eingesetzt und die andere Hälfte zur Aufbesserung des Tanzbodens im Castello San Sebastiano da Po.

Das Tangokombinat muss dringend renoviert werden!
Von hier aus zog das Tangokombinat in die Welt, um Tango in einer engen Umarmung und die Philosophie der Encuentros Milongueros zu verbreiten.
Aber nicht nur ist in den letzten Jahren Vieles abgenutzt worden, auch müssen wir das Studio wegen der Corona-bedingten Hygiene-Anforderungen fitmachen. Insbesondere im Bad- und Küchenbereich müssen Verbesserungen erfolgen, so dass wir weiterhin Events und Unterricht in unserer Heimatstadt anbieten können.
Wir freuen uns also über Spenden von all jenen, die das Studio in der Vergangenheit mit uns genutzt und genossen haben bzw. weiterhin oder erstmalig dort tanzen möchten.

Dieser magischer Ort in Norditalien wurde unlängst von Detlef und Melina für ihre Tangoreisen wieder entdeckt. Das Castello hat wunderbare Räume und verwunschene Gärten, ein angeschlossenes Restaurant und Platz für bis zu 120 Gäste. Es ist seit vielen Jahren von Luca Garrone und seiner Familie renoviert und wiederbelebt worden. Jeder Gast spürt, wieviel Herzblut, Kapital und Engagement bisher in dieses Projekt geflossen sind. Das Castello ist nicht nur für Seminare, sondern auch für größere Events ideal. Wir freuen uns darauf, dort unvergessliche Tango-Erinnerungen zu schaffen.
... Das einzige Problem ist ein sehr alter Boden im Tanzsaal. Um diesen für Tango brauchbar zu machen, muss er gründlich überholt werden. Wir möchten dies unterstützen, da wir glauben, dass die Tango-Gemeinschaft diesen Ort lieben wird!
