Tangible Movement Mission Statement:
WE ARE A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FORMED TO INSPIRE, EDUCATE AND PROVIDE TANGIBLE SUPPORT FOR YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, SUICIDAL IDEATION, ADDICTION, AND SEXUAL / GENDER IDENTITY ISSUES. TOGETHER WE CAN #ENDTHESTIGMA.
About the founder- Torri Shack:
Torri has struggled with depression and addiction since she was 14 years old. She is a two time attempted suicide survivor, 1st time was as an adolescent and the 2nd as an adult.
Even through her struggles, Torri managed to graduate from UCSB at the top of her class with a major in History and a minor in International Relations, Magna Cum Laude. She then became a successful entrepreneur, 1st in the Real Estate and Mortgage Industry then in the Wellness Industry.
After college, she spent years battling a horrible eating disorder, alcoholism, addiction, depression and gender identity issues. At one point she lost everything and was homeless living out of her car as a result of her depression and addiction.
Over the years she’s worked hard to put her life back together. Her career in the health and wellness field has given her purpose. She is currently in the process of expanding her scope and taking her efforts worldwide to end the stigma associated with mental illness and addiction.
She’s been sober and abstinent from her eating disorder since 2010. She finally found acceptance of her Mental Disorder in 2015 after years of misdiagnosis and denial. It is through her personal road to recovery and acceptance that led her to form Tangible Movement.

Why this means so much to me:
It has taken me years to come to terms with my addictions, sexuality, depression and abuse. I could not have come as far as I have without a lot of help. Most of the help cost a lot of money which subsequently left me bankrupt and living out of my car. I was homeless battling sobriety because I had spent my last dollar on the cost of treatment and professional help. I want to pay forward what I have received over the years and potentially save lives in the process. Please make a donation today. -- Torri Shack
We would be so very grateful if you could find any way to donate to our cause and participate in the Tangible Movement.
