Please Help Talitha battle with meningitis

Firstly, I wouldn’t normally do anything like this, however My name is Bill Farrell and I'm trying to support my Son David and his gorgeous family!

David is a loving, kind hearted Husband to Talitha and an amazing Dad to his Two children.

David is going through a really hurtful time at the moment, so if you could kindly spare a moment to read his family story below.

On 10th of March (Mother’s Day) my daughter in law was admitted to hospital.

She was diagnosed with meningitis which required immediate sedation and intubation also transfer to critical care in order to get appropriate treatment.

While she was in critical care her health deteriorated. Meningitis was attacking her brain which lead to other complications.

We were told the dreaded news what no family wants to hear, that she might not make it and how her brain was dead which meant they would turn off her Life Support the following day, However Talitha is a very strong woman and has proven us as a family and the doctors wrong . She was battling meningitis for 3 months in critical care.

On the 10th of May they extubated and she was no longer in induced coma.

After a very long battle Talitha started making progress and she was giving David and the kids a light at the end of the tunnel however on 15th of May David received the sad news that Talitha’s will be registered blind which is one of the outcomes what meningitis has caused, as a result she has also suffered short term memory loss.

Due to all these factors Talitha’s will require 24 hour care which will lead to her not being able to be with her family at home everyday.

Talitha has a loving husband and 2 beautiful children Alfie (5) and Aurora (2)

As result of this David is left with 2 children on his own and at risk of loosing their family home, as he can’t afford to repay the remaining mortgage.

We as a family are helping and supporting David in this difficult time however we’ve reached a point where any little bit of help would be grateful.
