Tales of Brooklyn Give Back

Tales of Brooklyn is a documentary of its own kind by Zsaknor Powe, featuring real and anecdotal stories of the people that make up the neighborhood and their perspective on the rapid gentrification of their home. We teamed up with Jude Collective  & Imperial Bodega  to host a unique premiere experience. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this has been postponed. However, we have been reflecting on the current civil rights protests and would like to continue to use our voices and platform during this time to promote and uplift local artists working in all mediums and raise funds for non profits we believe in. We will be focusing on four specific causes, supporting Youth programs for under-privileged children, providing services for black & indigenous TGNC ( Trans Gender Non-Conforming ) community, support for black artists & designers and community programs providing relief for those in low income areas most affected by COVID-19.




We hope to simplify the process for those wishing to get involved with our communities and want to support multiple causes. We also encourage you to check out our instagram page @talesofbrooklyn , where we will be regularly featuring and promoting Brooklyn-based artists. We will be sharing art, stories and perspectives on culture, the current social and political climate as it relates to COVID-19, police brutality & the corrupt white supremacist  American system as a whole.

All proceeds raised will be split evenly between our four chosen non-profit orgnisations; Inner City Rangers (Housed by BkCenterForArts ), NYC Committee for Trans Action, Black Artists & Designers Guild  & Bed Stuy Strong .
