Talamarang Community Development Fundraiser

Draiocht NUIG is a charitable organisation based at the National University of Ireland Galway. It was established in 2008 to generate funding, awareness, and a volunteer workforce to support community based projects in Tanzania and Nepal. Talamarang is a village in northern Nepal in which the majority of our projects are based. Like many charities around the world the COVID pandemic has negatively impacted our ability to support our long term projects in Talamarang, which include a school and a children's home. This has been compounded by flash floods earlier this year which caused significant damage to the local school. Our aim with this fundraiser is to raise some money to help to continue to support the school and children's home
