Taking Steps to Walk the Yorke for Mental Health!

Hey everyone,

We’re doing something a bit different – and a bit tough – to help make a real difference for boys and young guys who are doing it tough with their mental health.

On 18th July 2025, we’re kicking off the first 8 legs of the ‘Walk the Yorke’ trail – that’s 8 days of walking, about 30kms each day, from Port Wakefield to Foul Bay. Yep, our feet are going to hate us.

We’re doing this for a couple of reasons. One – to raise money for counselling services for boys and young men who are battling stuff like anxiety, depression, trauma, or who just need someone to talk to. And two – because it’s a big personal challenge for us too, and looking after our own mental health is just as important.

Too often, blokes are told to "toughen up" or keep quiet – and that kind of thinking can leave a lot of young guys suffering in silence. We reckon that needs to change.

Every dollar we raise will go straight to funding proper, professional counselling sessions – giving boys a safe space where they can open up and get the support they need.

No donation’s too small – whether it’s a few bucks for a coffee (or a beer), or enough to cover a full session, every bit helps.

All donations will go to Project 18 – the wellbeing nook, a Certified Social Enterprise – to deliver or broker the counselling services we’re raising funds for.
