Hi, my name is Kimberley Baker. I’m raising funds because I’ve been left with a £13,942.43 debt after escaping an abusive marriage.

I supported my husband’s move to the UK, but once he arrived, the relationship turned abusive physically, mentally, psychologically, and financially. It became so unsafe that I had to seek refuge, and both the police and courts became involved.

In December, we were told to leave our home. I moved out for my safety, but he stayed behind and stopped paying the rent even though the tenancy was in my name. All the debt fell on me.

I’m trying to rebuild my life after everything I’ve survived, but this debt is blocking my ability to move forward. I can’t do it alone.
